Senators Banks, Fetterman Introduce the FRIDGE Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senators Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and John Fetterman (D- Pa.) introduced the Fortifying Refrigeration Infrastructure and Developing Global Exports (FRIDGE) Act. This legislation directs the U.S. Department of Agriculture to secure contracts for needs assessments, training, and technical assistance to support infrastructure development, including cold chain storage, in emerging foreign markets. Senators Banks and Collins Introduce the Ensuring Veterans’ Final Resting Place Act of 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senators Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine.) introduced the Ensuring Veterans’ Final Resting Place Act of 2025. Currently, veterans can receive VA burial benefits, including headstones, markers, or urns. However, those who choose an urn or plaque lose eligibility for burial in a VA cemetery, even if their spouse remains eligible. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) introduced the College Employment Accountability Act.This legislation ensures federally funded colleges and universities comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 by requiring E-Verify participation.
